Living A Life of Service and Making an Imprint No One Else Could

Reverend Jim and Donna Chandler follow a simple rule that Jim puts this way: “God gave us a fingerprint that no one else has so that we can make an imprint that no one else could.” True to this belief, the Chandlers are making an imprint no one else could through The Jim D. Chandler Fund with Texas Methodist Foundation (TMF), which will support numerous local ministries at First United Methodist Church in Round Rock, Texas.

Their endowment fund was set up with an initial gift of cash. The fund can continue to grow with additional gifts during their lifetimes and will be fully funded through a gift from their estate. Once fully funded, the endowment will support life-giving ministries at First United Methodist Church in Round Rock, Texas. These Ministries include, “Heart to Heart Quilters,” that provides handmade quilts to children facing serious illness; the “Wise Owls Initiative” reaching out to seniors, who may feel isolated; and a partnership with the Round Rock Serving Center that helps local families in crisis. Funded in part by investments that the Chandlers have with TMF in Impact Certificates, The Jim D. Chandler Fund endowment will support these important ministries in perpetuity—making a lasting imprint on their church and community.

The Chandler Fund’s ongoing impact will help more people experience God’s love and models a cycle of generosity made possible by investors and donors with TMF. The Chandler’s generosity also exemplifies the profound power of relationships. As Jim says, “TMF has been extended family for us. At almost every church appointment I’ve served, there’s been a friendship with Texas Methodist Foundation.”
